Geopetrol International started its activities in India in 1995 through the acquisition of participations in the Kharsang Block (25%) and in the Joint venture GeoEnpro Petroleum Limited (50%), a private Indian Company, holding 10% of the field and being the field Operator.

This field, located in the Assam Region, in North-east India, was producing 1,300 barrels of oil per day in 2014.

The operator plans the lauch in 2015 of an additional drilling campaign of 6 wells, with the aim to increase the production level, the undevelopped potential of this field remaining substantial.
